Cosmetics
The Eurovox EX7000+ HD comes in a slightly bigger box due to it being bigger than our other cable receiver boxes.
The front of the Eurovox EX7000 HD+ has a large LCD panel and a few buttons (i.e fast forward, pause, rewind e.t.c). The LCD panel shows the progress of the scan and we feel this is modern technology at its best.
The box comes with a black remote control and has the following buttons:
Mute - Mutes the sound and also takes it off mute
Radio – Takes you to the radio channels
TV – Takes you to the TV channels
PVR – Takes you to another menu that shows you what you have recorded. You can view all recorded programmes from this button.
Recall – Press this button to go back to the channel you were on before.
P+ and P- Changes channel
Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) - Button that has direct access to your guide. You can view programmes up to seven days away! Perfect way to plan your TV schedule J
Menu – Takes you to the main menu
Favourite – Allows you to scroll through all the channels that you have selected as ‘Favourite’
Directional Buttons –(up, down, right, left) Helps you to navigate through the user interface
OK- Select button
4 coloured buttons - Used for navigation around menus and Teletext!

The user manual that accompanies this box is useful. It tells you absolutely everything you need to know, in clear English. A clear contents page at the start of the manual will help you to locate what you are looking for in no time!
It is very in depth into how to use the cool features of this box. Clear labelled diagrams make this manual extremely user friendly;
The step by step pictures also make this manual simple to use as you can see what should be on your screen while following the instructions.

Features
Similar to the Starview 4 box, this box is updated via USB. There is no inbuilt hard drive for this box but, similar to the Starview 4 Box it has an external hard drive which you connect to it. The hard drive feature is self is top draw. Easy to use, you really do not need to use the instructions to operate this. Simply power up the hard drive and use the USB lead supplied to connect it to the back of your Eurovox HD box. If I had to find a flaw it would be the very slight delay when starting the record. The TV will pause for a couple of seconds until recording starts. But apart from that, the hard drive works very well with the Eurovox HD box. Excellent quality! Even though the recession is upon us, it is well worth it to pay that little extra and top a top quality hard drive to compliment an excellent box.
The special thing about this box is that the LCD Display; it actually shows the channel name in words as well as the channel number.
It also boasts a fully working Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) which you can record directly from. An Electronic Programme Guide is a guide that shows scheduled TV/radio programs. This is shown on-screen when the box is on and allows you to navigate through every channel so you can see what is on and when it is on. This can be done all from your remote control.
This box also has Parental control. You can choose channels to ‘lock’. Therefore, a pin is needed to enter certain channels and watch certain programmes!
The best feature this box has is the High Definition. Unlike other Cable Receivers this box is absolutely awesome on a HD ready television with an automatic upscaler on all channels! But for those without HD ready Televisions, this box is still a great box and can be viewed with or without HD ready TV’s.
We must re-iterate here this box has, by far, the best LCD Display out of the boxes that we sell. It is amazing and gives much more detail than its counterparts!
Performance
What makes the Eurovox EX7000 HD+ so easy to use? The user interface is very good for this box. The simple user interface and clear menu makes getting around the box’s features really simple. Don’t be surprised if you get accustomed to this box sooner than you think. It does the simple things well! The Eurovox EX7000 HD+ is similar to other Eurovox boxes in the sense that it is easy to use.
Especially if you have had a Eurovox before, you would even find this box easier to use!
It does supports widescreen flawlessly-goodbye to splashes and jagged images!
The only flaw with this box was that we thought channel changing was is a little slow for this box. The EPG is also quite slow and take a couple of minutes to fully load on some occasions.
Recording is also very easy and is done at the touch of a button. Simply connect the external hard drive to the box and press record! Start recording at the touch of a button. Once finished with recording, press stop. If you want to watch any recorded programmes, simply go to the PVR menu (from your remote) and select whatever you want to watch! Well done to the designers of this box, they could not have made it any easier to use!
The Electronic Programme Guide can be accessed by pressing the EPG button the remote control. Once this button is pressed, the EPG is up and you can use the directional arrows on the remote to navigate through the programmes.

Cool box. As its name suggests, it is excellent on HD TV with crystal clear images! Cool LCD Display. However, this box doesn’t perform as we would have expected it to. Channel change is still quite slow.
